Josephine M. Dixon

Dixon, Josephine M. ?age 96, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Hillcrest South Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Shelba Jean and Bob Hatmaker; son, Leon Dixon; grandson, Craig Cook. Survivors include daughter, Betty Talley and husband, Kenneth, Cookeville, Tennessee; daughter, Lillian Bergen Morgan and husband, James, Oak Ridge; son, Eddie Dixon and wife, Juanita, Macon, Georgia; daughter, Ann Price and husband, Jim (J.L.), Knoxville; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Acuff; Reba Beckner; Lucy Teffeteller; Nannie Hickle; Irene Sutton; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Hillcrest South Nursing Home for all their loving care for Josephine. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday for 11 AM graveside services, Rev. Larry Crouch officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
