Opal D. Fain

Fain, Opal D., age 89, of South Knoxville, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Wellington Place in Athens, TN. Member of South Knoxville Baptist Church for over 50 years. She retired from Standard Knitting Mills. Preceded in death by husband, Samuel N. Fain. Son, Richard Fain and wife, Connie of Rutledge; daughter, Karen L. King and Larry C. Timbs of Athens; grandchildren, Angelia Shankle and husband, Scott, Mike King, Melinda Allen and husband, Gary, all of Athens; four great-grandchildren, Makala and Riley Shankle and Mason and Maddi Allen; one very special cousin, Buddy Hutson and wife, Ann of Knoxville. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 11:00 AM Tuesday for graveside services. Family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
