Mrs. Edythe Bell

Services for Mrs. Edythe Bell will be held, September 09, 2006, at 11:00 AM at the following locations: Highland Memorial Parks Knoxville, TN 37919 (865) 588-0567 Bell, Edythe F. -age 87 of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Baptist Hospital. A longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, she was a graduate of Old Knoxville High School and the University of Tennessee. She served with the Red Cross in Europe during World War II and served for 27 years as a teacher in Knox County. Prior to entering teaching, she was a Social Worker in North Carolina. Preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Lillian Falconnier Adcock; her husband, Jackson R. Bell; a sister, Dorothy Lucinda Adcock, and a brother, Patrick Adcock. She is survived by three sons: Jackson R. Bell, Jr. and his wife Barbara; Fred Adcock Bell and Wallace Rollins Bell and his wife Dorothy; three granchildren: Christopher Scott Bell, Jeffrey Michael Bell, and Christine Josette Bell; and a great-granddaughter, Alyson Nicole Bell. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Highland Memorial Funeral Home 5315 Kingston Pike. Family and friends will assemble at the gravesite in Highland Memorial Cemetery on Saturday for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service, conducted by Rev. Mike Jackson.
