Dorothy Carr Smelcer, age 79 of Sevierville, passed away Friday, May 26, 2006 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl David Smelcer. Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law: Juanita and Ray Shults, Linda and Ronnie Key, Earlene and James Harper Grandchildren: Rhonda and Scott Davis, Richard and Connie Shults, Matthew and Tory Shults, Mark and Angie Shults, Heather and Casey Jones, Eric and Missy Harper, Michael Harper Great Grandchildren: Josh Davis, Lauren, Emily and Ashley Shults, Hanah and Hayden Shults, Mason and Lia Shults, Savannah Jones Brothers and Sister-in-law: Jess Carr, Melvin and Eunice Carr, Forrest Carr Sisters: Caressie Marcum and Peggy Owens Sisters-in-law: Nina Smelcer, Bonnie Smelcer and Vernice Branch Several special nieces, nephews and friends Funeral service 7:30 PM Tuesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Maples, Rev. Ben Whitted and Rev. Melvin Carr officiating. Interment 11 AM Wednesday in Zion Grove Cemetery.
