Pierce Carter

Carter, Pierce Hamilton (PH, Peanut, Chartie), age 77 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. He was a member of Dutch Valley Church of God. He delivered the Knoxville News Sentinel in the downtown area by bicycle for over 40 years. Preceded in death by wife, Francis Carter; granddaughter, Angel Crawford; and a great grandson, Jacob Cohoon. Survived by daughters and son-in-laws, Diane and Jerry Dodson, Teresa and James Freshour Jr., Donna and Jeff Roland, Debra Westerhold, and Linda Carter; grandchildren, Aundrea Lawson, Tony and Kathy Cohoon, Amanda Carter, Traci and Kevin Miller, Brittany and Jamiee Hong, Kimberly and Bradley Westerhold, James and Jeremy Freshour, Jessica, Jamie and Jeffrey Roland, and Emily Dodson; great grandchildren, Daniel, Keegan, Alexus-Jo, and Keiara; brother, Henry Lee Carter; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Graveside services will be 11:00AM Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Jack Dean and Rev. Corky Alexander officiating.
