Margaret Lee Kelley

Margaret Lee Kelley, age 71 of Sevierville, passed away peacefully after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s Disease in the morning hours of Monday, May 8, 2006. Margaret was born June 14, 1934 in Texhoma, Oklahoma, the third daughter of Omer and Rhea Arnold. She moved to Pleasanton, Kansas as a teenager and attended college at Emporia State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas. Margaret and husband John were married May 19, 1957 and began their family. After two years in Kansas they moved to Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, where they raised four children. Margaret worked for the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach in the court system. After retirement in 1989, Margaret and John moved to Sevierville, Tennessee. Margaret became actively involved with the Sevier County Humane Society serving as director and President for a number of years. Her parents and numerous siblings preceded Margaret in death. Funeral service 11:30 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Reverend Leroy Parton officiating.
