Elder Clyde Harold Abbott, Sr.

Elder Clyde Harold Abbott, Sr., age 94 of Wears Valley, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006. He was a lifelong member of Headrick’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite (32nd degree Mason), and Shriners for more than 50 years and had been a member of Mtn. Star Masonic Lodge #197. He was preceded in death by parents Daniel Jackson and Mamie Ellen Abbott and daughter Angela Davis. Survivors: Wife: Doris Kidwell Abbott Children: Elder Clyde H. Abbott, Jr. and wife Betty, Gearldine (Geri) Abbott and husband Ernest, Mark Abbott and wife Stephanie Grandchildren: Daniel Abbott, Mason Abbott, Wesley Davis, Matthew Davis, Lori Jones, Rachael Shults, Margo Abbott, Adam Abbott 9 Great-grandchildren A host of nieces and nephews, including special nephew: Jack Abbott Special family friend: Mark Baker Funeral service beginning with a Masonic Service at 7 PM Friday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Elder Clyde Abbott, Jr. officiating.
