Jimmy L. Thomas

Thomas, Jimmy L. ?age 55, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at his home. Jim was a much loved member of Tarklin Valley Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Elizabeth Thomas; brother, Charlie Thomas. Survivors include wife of 33 years, Linda Long Thomas; sisters, Mary Lou Bridges, Debbie Johnson (Danny); brothers, John (Roberta), Mack, Ray (Diane), Lonnie, Donnie (Linda), Bobby, Gary (Tracy) and Paul; several nieces, nephews and many friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Tom Kim, Dr. Richard Lee, the Chemo and Radiation Department at Baptist Hospital and the workers of Caris Hospice. Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Wednesday, Tarklin Valley Baptist Church, Rev. Claude Ramsey, Rev. Joe Lewis, and Rev. Dennis Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Tarklin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim?s brothers. Memorials may be sent to Tarklin Valley Baptist Church, 8827 Jett Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920 or to Dr. Kim?s Free Clinic, 6207 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
