Walter E. Romines, Sr.

Romines, Walter E., Sr. ?age 76, of South Knoxville, departed this life on Sunday, June 18, 2006, at Baptist Hospital. He was a member of Gayland Heights Baptist Church. He is retired from Candora Marble Company, and Staley Marble and Granite. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He touched everyone he knew with his kind, gentle, giving way. He was a friend to all, and will be forever cherished. He was preceded in death by wife, Hazel Kirby Romines; father, Ike T. Romines; mother, Alice Andies Romines; and brothers, Claude, Guy and Mack Romines. He left behind his sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Kim Romines and Scott and Sonya Romines; his daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Paul Cloak and Sheri and Gary Kelly; his precious grandchildren, Jonathan, Kane, Jordan, Little Sheri, Sophie, Jeanne and his new great-granddaughter, Marli. He also leaves his cherished sister and brothers, AnnaBelle Baker, Ernest and Lee Romines; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Funeral service will be held 11 AM on Wednesday, Berry Chapel, with Rev. George Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Roberts, Kane Loring, Jordan Collier, Paul Cloak, Gary Kelly and Michael Miller.
