McClellan Rose

McClellan Rose, age 84 of Sevierville, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2006, with family at his side after a long illness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a surgical technician in the Medical Corps during World War II from December 1942 until November 1945. His last year was served in Germany, France, and Austria. He was a tool and die design engineer, for more than 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Delilah Rose of Estill Co., KY, brother Jason Rose of Estill Co., KY, and a sister Beaulah Edwards of Berea, KY. He believed in the truth as it is in Jesus. He will be sadly missed. He left behind his: Loving wife of 64 ½ years: Catherine Rose Daughter: Joan Lee of Adairsville, GA Son: Daniel Rose of Cleveland, TN Grandsons: Roger Lee working in St. Petersburg, Russia, Michael Lee of Ann Arbor, MI, Matthew Rose of Cleveland, TN Brothers: Ira Rose of Cartersville, GA, Don Rose of Irvine, KY Funeral service 2 PM Monday in Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel. Funeral service conducted by Dennis Kinnan, Richard Gasser, and George Lee. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM Monday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, 220 Emert Street, Pigeon Forge, TN. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
