James E. Ballinger

James E. Ballinger, age 77, of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2006. Mr. Ballinger was a devoted teacher and coach for over 40 years at Sevier County High School and in Indiana. He was a leader in developing computer education in Sevier County and Indianapolis, Indiana. Through his dedication, he touched and enriched his students’ lives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Doyle Ballinger; parents, Wayne and Mary Abel Ballinger; and brother, Richard Ballinger. Survivors: Daughter: Jeanne Maynard Grandchildren: Jerry and Jessie Maynard Special family members: Daniel and K.C. Sedgwick Sister-in-law: Mary Ballinger Nephews and wives: William and Barbara Ballinger, Philip and Amy Oleksy Nieces: Ann Galloway and husband Richard, Nancy Ballinger, Lynn Ballinger, and Loretta Oleksy In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 411 Ashley Avenue, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. A private inurnment will be held at Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens in Pigeon Forge, TN.
