Reuben Calvin ''Sam'' Sims

Reuben Calvin “Sam” Sims, age 89 of Sevierville, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2006, at Fort Sanders-Sevier Medical Center. He graduated from Sevier County High School with high honors in 1936. He was a member of New Era Baptist Church, and retired from ALCOA after 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Trula Mae Jenkins Sims, daughter, Geraldine Lawson, granddaughter, Marilyn Seagle, and sons-in-laws, Jesse Bales and Bob Seagle. Survivors: Daughters and Sons-in-laws: Christine and Jimmie Dodgen Betty Seagle Carolyn Bales Debbie and Eddie Catlett Sons and Daughter-in-law: Larry and Sue Sims Donnie Sims 12 Grandchildren Many Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Grandchildren Funeral service 2 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne White and Rev. Danny Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
