Mattie M. (Granny) Stanton

Stanton, Mattie M.(Granny) ?age 91, of South Knoxville, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2006 at Hillcrest South Nursing Home. She was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Ollie H. Stanton; son, Max L. Stanton; daughter, Wilma Jean Stanton Daws. Survived by daughters, Patricia Davenport and husband, Hubert, Mildred Johnson and husband, Charles, Gale Haynes and husband, Ken; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Pat Polis officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
