Robert Lee (Bob) Kirby

Robert Lee (Bob) Kirby, age 79 of Sevierville, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, January 18, 2006. Surrounded by his family, he passed peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was an Army veteran of World War II, retired from General Dynamics in California, and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of Waldens Creek United Methodist Church and served on the board for the Waldens Creek Volunteer Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents, G. W. Kirby, Jr. and Ollie Armstrong Kirby; sisters, Jewel Kirby and Claudette Terry. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ina Fox Kirby; son and daughter-in-law, Gary D. and Peggie Kirby of Morristown TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Roger Hensley of Hohenwald, TN, Tonia Kirby and Duncan Pulliam, Jr. of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Cyndi Belcher of Clinton, TN, Jason Kirby and wife Becky of Vancouver, WA, Aaron Kirby and wife Felicia of Elizabethton, TN, Adam Kirby of Morristown, TN; five great grandchildren; brother, Jack Kirby of Buellton, CA; and sister, Virginia Williams of Santa Maria, CA. Funeral service 7 PM Saturday, January 21, 2006 in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. David Smith and Rev. Barbara Lay officiating.
