Kate Cannon Cecil

Cecil, Kate Cannon, of South Knoxville, born October 1, 1921 to Charles and Etta Cannon, in Blount County, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord Saturday, January 14, 2006. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Hayward Cecil; sister, Anna Sue Free and great-granddaughter, Hailey Fisher. Children, Robert G. Cannon and wife Sandra; Sandy Wood and husband Jerry H. Wood, Sr., Connie Keyes and husband, Don; grandchildren, Greg and Robert Carney, Julie Nichols, Jill Murrell; Adam, Joseph, Mandy and Amy Kington; great-grandchildren, Maria and Mitchell Carney; Cody Fisher; Zachary Ball; brothers, Don and Jack Cannon; sister, Johnnie C. Johnson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 PM Wednesday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Darvin Oakes officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM Thursday for interment services. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
