Charles Blackmon

Charles (Charlie) Blackmon SR., age 77 of Knoxville passed away early Monday morning at Fort Sanders Hospital. He was a member of Second United Methodist Church for 65 years. He was a member of the Home Builders Class at the church. He belonged to the East Tennessee Past Masters Association F&AM;, and he was a member of the Masters Lodge # 244 were he was the Master in 1968. Charlie was also a member of the Scottish Rite and the order of the Shrine. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Lucy Blackmon; sisters, Mildred Kirby, Lorene Keller, Eleanor Theodore, Helen Reasor; and brother, Howard. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Bill Stooksbury and Rev. MC Taylor officiating. Internment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery with Masonic Rites by Masters Lodge #244. Pallbearers are Bud Blackmon, Rex Owenby, Don Brewer, Jack Bullington, Fred Woods, and Steve Brewer. Memorial contributions may be made to Second United Methodist Church, Homebuilders SS Class. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel
