Edna Mae Stanley Boyd

Boyd, Edna Mae Stanley ? Age 78 of Knoxville, passed away in the home of her son and daughter-in-law on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her husband, P.K. Boyd in 1991. She was a 35-year career employee for South Central Bell Telephone Company, a member of the Communications Workers of America, and Telephone Pioneers. She was a member of Hillcrest Methodist Church. She was contributor to the Democrat party, routinely volunteered as a poll worker at election times, and she donated time to the Knoxville Noon Lioness Club. Survived by her son Stanley Boyd and wife Kelly of Hermitage, Tennessee; brother, Charles Stanley and wife Mary of Knoxville; brother, Howard Stanley of Knoxville, and brother J.B. Stanley and wife Bertha of Sarasota, Florida. She was always a very kind and generous person with many lifelong friends, like Barbara Grimm and Grace Gossett of Knoxville and Linda Townsend of Lecanto, Florida. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Pat Pollis officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2006 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway
