Catherine B. Finger

Finger, Catherine B. ?age 96, of South Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Hillcrest West Nursing Home. She was a nursing assistant at Ft. Sanders Hospital and a member of Knoxville Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, William E. Finger; daughter and husband, Audrey and Gene Pierce; parents, Leonard and Beatrice Bridges; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard A. and Eugenia Finger of Missouri; Buford and Sylvia Finger of Knoxville; grandchildren, Bobby Gene and Robin Pierce; Bradley and Mary Katherine Pierce; Tonya L. and Bruce Davis; Buford E. Finger, Jr.; Andrew E. Finger; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Caleb Warren, the staff of Baptist Hospice; and Hillcrest West for their loving care. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday for 1 PM graveside services with Rev. Phil Groos officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillcrest West Nursing Home, 6801 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37909, for new hospital equipment. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
