Richard R. Weichel

Weichel, Richard R. ?of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at home. He was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church where he was an elder and a Sunday school teacher. Richard was a safety director for Rohm and Haas for 30 years until his retirement. He was a volunteer for Fish Ministries as well as for the Office on Aging for many years. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Edna Weichel and first wife, Edna Newman Weichel. Survivors include wife, Wanda F. Weichel; daughters, Carol Dean; Wendy and husband, Dick Coffey; stepdaughters, Vickie and husband, John Dowling; Gail and husband, Bob Winter; Trudy and husband, Lynn Strange; grandchildren, Adrienne and husband, Kevin Elwell; Kevin Paul; Amber Paul; Clark Coffey; Claire Coffey; step grandchildren, Aaron Dowling; Ann Watson; Jennifer Sharpe; Amy McCallum; Joe Winter; LeeAnn Winter; Curtis Strange; Rebekah Crowe; Ben Strange; several great-grandchildren; sister, Helen and husband, Bob Keith; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of St. Mary?s Hospice for their loving care. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM on Thursday at Eastminster Presbyterian Church with a memorial service to be held at 7:30 PM with Rev. Dr. Richard Hawks officiating.
