Ted Thomas Alley

Alley, Ted Thomas ?age 64, of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville after a lingering illness. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church and was the owner and operator of Alley Aluminum. Ted was a very dedicated man to all he knew, a devoted and loving husband of 44 years, the most understanding, loving and giving of all fathers, and the proudest Papa ever. Preceded in death by father, Roy Clifton Alley; grandparents, Thomas Jefferson and Etta Alley, Willie and Nettie Irwin. He is survived by wife of 44 years, Elizabeth ?Bettye? Alley; son, James Clifton Alley; daughter, Karen Janene Baker; grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth and Trenton Thomas Baker; loving mother, Mary Lou Irwin Alley; and very devoted twin brother, Edd Maynard Alley of Andersonville. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to his caregiver of 3+ years, Shanda Sexton Muncey for her special love, dedication, and service. Also a special thanks to the nursing staff on 8 North at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held 8 PM on Thursday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Carl Dennis Ford and Rev. Cynthia Pennington officiating. Family and friends will meet at Beulah United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kimberlin Heights Drive, on Friday for 11 AM interment services. Pallbearers will be Bill Alley, Wilbur Warwick, Tommy Alley, Evan Bowers, John Lawson and Terry Archer. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
