Myrtie Irene Sugg Anweiler

Myrtie Irene Sugg Anweiler, age 91of Sevierville, passed away Saturday December 23, 2006. She was a member of Black Oak Church of Christ in Gary, Indiana, where she helped make more than 10,000 lap robes as a “Sewing Susie.” She attended Henderson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church while living in Sevierville. She was the epitome of the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31. She was very active while in Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home, writing articles for the nursing home newspaper and encouraging fellow residents. She was a member of the green thumb club and participated in the cooking class there. She was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Anweiler, parents William and Kitty Sugg, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors: Children: Kay Purnell and husband Gary, Peggy Dalfanso and husband Richard, Joe Anweiler and wife Arlene 6 Grandchildren 9 Great-grandchildren 2 Great-great-grandchildren Sister: Dorothy Klutts Several nieces and nephews The family would like to extend a special thanks to her Henderson Chapel family and the nursing home staff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian College 100 Campus View Dr, Lincoln IL 62655 or the Family Council at Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home, to help the Nursing Home do more to help support the residents in need, 709 Middle Creek Rd., Sevierville TN 37862.
