Connie William (C.W.) Gregory

Connie William (C.W.) Gregory, born April 6, 1923, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 16, 2006. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He served his country in WWII in the Army. Connie led a full, happy life, overcoming much strife with a smile on his face and faith in the Lord in his heart. Always willing to lend a hand, he never turned his back to anyone in need. He loved unconditionally and asked little in return. Connie will be remembered most for his love for his family and neighbors, his giving heart, and his faith and love for the Lord. He will be greatly missed, but also celebrated because his life set an example for everyone around him. Connie is survived by his: Wife and childhood sweetheart of 58 years: Lucille E. Gregory Daughters and sons-in-law: Patsy and Anthony Branam, Janice and Charles Wright Sons: Billy Gregory, Tommy Gregory Grandchildren: Rebecca Branam, Amanda Branam, Crystal Gregory, Carl Walker, Tommy Joe Gregory, Tiffany Gregory, Shane Wright Great-grandchildren: Hannah Branam, Nicholas Branam, Sioux Taylor, Kenneth Pritchard, II Sisters: Cora Sluss, Coza Clark Brother and sister-in-law: Tom and Brenda Gregory Sister and brother-in-law: LaVerne and Ralph Newman Sister-in-law: Katherine Howard Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home.
