Bowling, Robbie Madelyn, age 89 of South Knoxville went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Shannondale Healthcare Center. She was a faithful member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her loving husband Hugh G. Bowling and son Cecil Wayne Bowling; parents Matthew and Amanda Davenport; brothers, Malcolm and Hubert Davenport; and sister, Thelma Hatfield. Survived by her loving daughter Robbie K. Griffey and husband Larry L. Griffey of Powell, TN., and daughter-in-law Joyce Bowling of Knoxville. Grandchildren, Michael Bowling and wife Bobbi of Midland, Texas; Rebecca Flannery and husband Jerry of Lebanon, TN.; Angela Phillips of Sevierville, TN., Amanda Hart and husband Jim, and Doug Griffey, all of Knoxville. Great grandchildren, Jason and Melissa Flannery, Alicia and Ian Bowling, Josh and Kelsey Phillips and Garrett Gay; and great-great grand daughter Maura Mohesky; and special brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Dot Davenport of Knoxville and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Shannondale Healthcare Center and Hospice, for the special care and love that was shown to us during this difficult time. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 4, 2005 with service to follow at 7 P.M. in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with Rev. Denny Ford and Rev. Pat Polis officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside service at 11:00 A.M.
