Clifton L. Zimmer, Sr.

Zimmer, Sr., Clifton L. ?age 66, of Rockford, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 30, 2005. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church where he worked with the Royal Ambassadors in years past. He owned Cliff?s Auto Repair and served in the United States Air Force. He left a legacy of a gentle nature and understanding spirit that touched the lives of everyone he knew. Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Blanche Nave. He is survived by wife of 39 years, Brenda Zimmer; children and spouses, Sharon and Rick Wood, Clifton L. Jr. and Lauren Zimmer and their mother, Willie Mae Zimmer; Michael L., Bradley A. and Carrie Zimmer, special adopted daughter, Mary Garner and family; grandchildren, Ricky Wood, Crystal Purcell, Brody, Bailey, Monique and Logan Zimmer; great-grandchildren, Whitney and Blake Booker, Joshua Purcell, and new baby boy, Jackson. Special thanks to Bobby Ford for being his friend. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Saturday for 11 AM graveside services. Military honors will be presented by the Veterans United Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sevier Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 3232 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
