Bertha Weigel

Weigel, Bertha Conner, age 95, of South Knoxville, passed away Monday, November 28, 2005 at NHC Healthcare of Knoxville. Bertha was a long time member of South Knoxville Baptist Church. She retired from South Central Bell with 38 years service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Preceded in death by husband, Edward S. Weigel. Nieces, Donna W. Quillen and husband Bill of Knoxville; Earleene C. Lyle of Powell; nephews, Dennis Weigel and wife Cathey of Richardson, TX; James H. Conner of Melbourne, FL, and Sam Conner and wife Loretta of Powell; several great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Graveside services 2:30 PM Thursday, New Gray Cemetery, Rev. Richard A. Phipps officiating. Memorials may be made to South Knoxville Baptist Church, 522 Sevier Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
