Farrell Tinsley Sanders

Sanders, Farrell Tinsley, age 86, born in Blackville, South Carolina on December 24, 1918, went to be with the Lord and his wife, Lee Cullum Sanders Friday, November 18, 2005 at Baptist Hospital. Although he was a member of St. Luke?s Methodist Church, he attended Island Home Baptist Church faithfully for 60 years. Retired from Robertshaw Fulton with 42 years service. He was a great Bible scholar, an avid hunter and fisherman, bridge player and dancer. He loved to tell stories of Knoxville?s history. He loved his family with a fierce passion and was loved by all who knew him. Daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy and David Keck; Ellie and Rick Bowling; grandchildren: Melissa Lantrip, Dusty Bowling, John-Michael Scott, and Wayne Keck; great-grandchildren: Hunter Bowling, Farrell Scott, Lex Scott, Hayden Bowling, Hallie-Grace Bowling, and Austin Keck; faithful friends Cab Miller, Jim and Lib Henderlight, and Margie Cowell. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. David Watson and staff; Dr. Eric Schrock; Dr. Brian Hughes; Dr. Joseph Meyers; Dr. Chris Harris; and Dr. Barry Michelson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Island Home Baptist Church, 2323 Island Home Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at Island Home Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM, Rev. Dwight Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dusty Bowling, John-Michael Scott, Robbie Miller, Dennis Walker, Jay Rogers, and Albert Harris.
