James Douglass Flynn Jr.

Flynn, James Douglass Jr., age 85 of Fountain City passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2005. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City. James, ?JD? was born August 27, 1920. Graduate of University of Tennessee and a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He served his country in the US Navy from 1943 until 1970. JD was a chemical engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratories until he retired in 1981. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Fielden Flynn; mother, Christine F. Dunn; father, James Douglas Flynn Survived by his daughter, Donna Elizabeth Flynn; son, Walter G. Flynn and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Flynn; brother, Pat Flynn; and nephews, Scott and Steve Flynn. Funeral service will be 8:00 PM Monday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rocky Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday prior to the Chapel service. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Alzheimer Association. Family and friends will meet at the entrance to Greenwood Cemetery Tuesday at 10:00 am for interment service with full Military honors provided by East Tennessee Volunteer Honor Guard.
