Rachel Lee Bales Simpson

Simpson, Rachel Lee Bales, age 82, went to be with her Lord Jesus on November 8, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. She retired from Sears in 1982. She dearly loved her family, church, and friends. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alcoa, where she served faithfully. Preceded in death by parents, Oscar K. and Ollie Bales; Parents-in-law, Vaughn A. and Alice Simpson; Sisters, Mary Bales, Lucille Finley, Lona Sherrod, Hallie Mays and Helma Gilreath; Brothers, Ervin Bales, John, Ralph and Ferd Neubert; several nieces and a nephew. Survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Vaughn Simpson; Daughters, Judy Frahme and husband Ed, Jan Davis and husband Danny; Grandchildren, David Frahme and wife Krista, Leigh Ann Darley and husband Dale, Brad Davis and wife Tracie, Melissa and Rachel Davis; Great grandchildren, Laura and Elizabeth Frahme, Kayce, Caleb and Kerah Darley; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, November 11, 2005 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service to follow at 8 PM, Rev. Danny Davis and Rev. Dale Darley officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home on Saturday at 9:30 AM and will proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919, at 10 AM for a 10:30 AM interment service. Pallbearers will be: Ed Frahme, David Frahme, Brad Davis, Don King, Tom McSpadden and Tommy Keeble. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
