Jackie Lois Smith, age 65 of Seymour went home to be with her Jesus Tuesday November 8, 2005. Jackie and her husband Robert were co-founders of In The Way Ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edith Gibson, and son-in-law, Kenneth McCarter. Survivors: Husband of 49 years: Robert (Bob) Smith, Jr. Son: Robert Smith, III and wife Tina Daughters: Karen Denise Smith McCarter Jani Marie Smith McCarter Angela Quinge Smith Miller Grandchildren: Amanda Cole and husband Rick Courtney McCarter and wife Alicia Adron K. McCarter and wife Brittany Brittany Brackins and husband Thomas Bridgette Ramsey and husband Lynn Tiffany Tallent and husband Tim Amber Sanders and husband Eric Jordan Robert Smith Great Grandchildren: Schlyar, Trevar, and Trynity Cole, Austin, and Kinsley McCarter, Jacob Sanders, Kensley McCarter Brothers: Bob, Jimmy, Mike, and Ricky Gibson Sisters: Imogene McNutt, Freida McCarter, Charlotte Cannon, Dot McNutt, Glenda Johnson, Mary Lewelling, Pat Gibson, Barbara Brink Sister-in-law: Dorothy Tallent Several nieces and nephews Honorary pallbearer, Courtney McCarter, pallbearers, Jordan Smith, Ricky Cole, Mike Gibson, Thomas Brackins, James Perry, and Danny Goins. Funeral service 7:30PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour. Interment 1PM Saturday in Atchley’s Seymour Memory Gardens.
