Hazel Louise Poe

Poe, Hazel Louise, age 77, of South Knoxville, passed away at Baptist Hospital Sunday November 6, 2005. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Hazel was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Hazel was preceded in death by her father, Elmer G. Lane; mother, Ida Mae Lane; brothers, Ralph Lane, Bill Lane and Bobby Lane. Survivors include her husband, Leland F. Poe; children, James Poe and wife, Sue, Steve Poe and wife, Madeleine, and Gary Poe; grandchildren and spouses, Sonya and Mike Curl, Tiffany and Bret Gilliland, Kim and Jason Wright, Lisa and Anthony Norris; grandchildren, Kevin Poe, Aaron Poe, and Christy Poe; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Loren, Dillon, Tyler, Alex, Hunter, Hayden, Emma, Andrew, Jessica, Breanna, Sean, Brandon, Dylan, Silas and Asa; sisters, Elizabeth Ogle, Ida Mae Archer and Eunice Morris; brother, James A. Lane; and family members, Verna Covington, Jakie and Walter Miller, Becky Parkinson and Robert Covington. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Sevier Heights Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m., Dr. Hollie Miller and Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday in the front parking lot of Berry Funeral Home and will proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery in procession at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. interment service. Pallbearers will be Mike Curl, Bret Gilliland, Jason Wright, Anthony Norris, Wayne Hunley and Aaron Poe.
