Willam F. (Bill) Booker

Booker, William F. (Bill) ?age 83, of South Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2005. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Bill retired from Alcoa with 42 years of service and was Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps having served in the Pacific during World War II. Preceded in death by parents, L.O. and Ida (Byrd) Booker. He is survived by wife of 64 years, Dot (Anderson) Booker; children, Judy Reed; Janice and Garry Luttrell; grandchildren, Amy Reed; Missy and Boone Ruffing; Scott Luttrell; Billy and Joy Luttrell; great-grandchildren, Gillian, Savannah, Holland and Kassie Luttrell; Chase Ruffing; sister, Dolores Price; brother, Ben L. Booker; many special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 4 PM, Dr. George Hollander and Dr. Joe Chandler officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Monday at 11 AM for graveside services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 306 Ogle Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920.
