Nadean Penix-Day

NADEAN PENIX-DAY, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday May 25, 2005 at Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Outreach Baptist Church and a former member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Maryville, TN. She was formerly on the board of Directors of Tennessee Children?s Dance Ensemble. She graduated from Walter State Community Collage and was a registered nurse in the Neo-Natal Unit at UT Hospital. She was an avid photographer. Preceded in death by her brother, Joe Garland Penix, Jr. Survived by her husband, Ronald E. Day, parents Swanee and Joe Penix, daughter; Tanya Renee Wilkes, sisters; Christine Watson and husband Tony and Eloise Wright and husband Larry, brothers; George Penix and wife Brenda, Marty Penix and wife Alma, and Steve Penix and wife Esta, mother-in-law, Ida Johnson and husband Fred, father-in-law Ronnie E. Day Sr and wife Sue, brothers-in-law Mike Day and wife Cindy and JR Day, sister-in-law; Misty Beason, Jackie Hammond and husband David, several special nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 8:00 PM at Lynnhurst Chapel with Rev. J.R McMahan and Rev. Delton Cochran officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at Lynnhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Mid South Division, 871 Weisgarber Rd, Knoxville TN 37909. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM before the service at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr
