Dr. Sheldon Domm

Dr. Sheldon Edward Domm, age 91, passed away Saturday May 21, 2005. He was born in Ontario, Canada and graduated from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois and also graduated from University of Illinois School of Medicine. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a Thoracic Surgeon in private practice in Knoxville. Preceded in death by his son, Alan Domm. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Vivian Stubley Domm; daughters: Sylvia Domm McCracken and husband Weaver of Clinton, Mississippi, and Nancy Domm of Tallahassee, Florida; 2 grandaughters: Caroline and Katherine McCracken; brother-in-law: Dr. Edward Rall of Kensington, Maryland; niece: Priscilla Rall of Frederick, Maryland; nephew: Edward Rall of Kensington, Maryland; and greatnieces: Caroline Rall, Amanda Smith and Johanna Rall Memorial service 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Dr. Weaver McCracker officiating.. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Central College in Naperville, Illinois or The Knoxville Civil War Roundtable. The family will receive friends for 1 hour before the service at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive.
