James Nelson ?Jim? Davenport

Davenport, James Nelson ?Jim? ?age 63, of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at his home. He was a retired letter carrier with the United States Postal Service and a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Mabel Davenport. He is survived by wife of 39 years, Peggie Davenport; son and daughter-in-law, John and MeLisa Davenport; daughter, Kelly Rooks; grandchildren, Luke Davenport, Jordan and Sydney Rooks; sister, Marianne Davenport. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday for 11 AM graveside services, Rev. Lloyd Davenport officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
