Taylor Jackson

Mr. Taylor Jackson, age 88 of Fountain City went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, March 28, 2005 at U. T. Hospital after a brief illness. He served in Company A 3rd Tank Battalion of the United States Army from 1943 to 1945, where he received the Purple Heart. Mr. Jackson worked for TVA and was a member of IBEW local 760 of Knoxville. Retired co-owner from Neon Service Company. He was a member of the Knoxville First Church of the Nazarene. Preceded in death by his parents Bascom A. and Sarah E. Jackson; two brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Mary E. Jackson, daughter and spouse; E. Ann and John Hensley III, grand children and spouses; Leah and Gerald ?Jerry? Bowling, William Taylor ?Rusty? and Rachelle Keck. Extended family grand children and spouses, John W. and Kathy Hensley IV, Angel Wade, and eight great grandchildren, brother Morrison P. Jackson of Collierville, TN and sister Sylvia Jones of Ash, NC and numerous precious nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Rick Shelton officiating. Interment will be 1:00 PM Thursday March 31 at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Arrangements made by Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. 2300 W. Adair Dr. www.lynnhurstchapel.com
