Cena Elizabeth Byrd Layman

Cena Elizabeth Byrd Layman, age 95 of Halls, formerly of Kodak, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. She was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Jane Byrd, husband Hubert Layman, sons Leo and Leroy Layman, daughter Vilda Ruth Layman, five grandchildren, three sisters, and one brother. Survivors: Children: Clifford and Ruby Layman of Kodak, Ina and Bill Brimer of Knoxville, Wilma Jackson of Mt. Olive, NC, Ruby and George Haynes of Knoxville, J.L. and Tammy Layman of Allons, TN , Joyce Ann and Jack Wilkerson of Knoxville Twenty-four grandchildren One special granddaughter Cathy Layman Forty-six great-grandchildren Twenty-three great-great-grandchildren Brother: Claude Byrd Funeral service 7 PM Friday at Beech Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Vittatoe and Rev. Wayne Stinnett officiating. Family and friends will meet at Beech Springs Baptist Church at 10:45 AM Saturday and process to Beech Springs Cemetery for an 11 AM interment. Pallbearers will be grandsons Doug Pardue, Raul Batista, William Brimer, Nathan Layman, Larry Layman, Darren Cooke, Roy Gleason, and Edward Haynes.
