Thomas Roland Spring

Thomas Roland Spring, 72, of Sevierville, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 20, 2005. Tom was born in Wilmington, Delaware. He dedicated twenty-one years of service to the United Stated Army and retired at the rank of Sergeant First-Class. Tom continued his civil service as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He later retired after twenty-two years, giving him a grand total of forty ? three years serving his country. Waiting for Tom to join them in heaven are his father James H. Spring Sr. and brother James H. Spring Jr. He is deeply loved and will be mourned by his loving wife of forty-two years Lois Spring, his daughter; Kaye Kershner and husband Jim, and son Gregory Spring. He will be especially missed by his sister Agnes Shaw and brother Gerald Spring. He is loved by and irreplaceable to his grandchildren; Jimmy Kershner II, Hilary Kershner and fianc? Geoffrey Greene, Matthew Thomas Kershner, Joseph Spring, and Caleb Spring. He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and a host of family friends. The memorial service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday at The Berry Chapel on Chapman Highway with the Reverend Dave Deckard officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for an 11:30 a.m. interment service with full military honors. The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 ? 12:00 on Saturday at The Berry Chapel.
