Edna Kilby Miller

Edna Kilby Miller passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at the Hadlow Hospice Center in Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Miller, born January 13, 1922 in Bina, NC was married for 47 years to Blan C. Miller, who passed away in 1992. She lived near her family in Jacksonville for the past 11 years, after many years? residence in Knoxville, TN and Ridgefield, NJ. She was a native of western NC, where she attended Healing Springs HS and beauty college in Boone. Mrs. Miller lived a long and full life, enjoyed traveling with her family in the US and Europe, and took her golf clubs wherever she went. She was pre-deceased by her sisters Orlean Bowers (1970) and Annie-Gene Dickson (2003), all daughters of Nelson and Belle Kilby. She is survived by her son Michael and daughter Lisa and grandchildren Brad, Ashley, Ysabella, and Victoria, as well as great-grandchildren Tyler and Lexie. She will be missed by family and friends at Deermeadows (Jacksonville) and Wallace Memorial (Knoxville) Baptist Churches. Funeral service will be held 11:30 AM on Friday, Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Dr. James McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery. A memorial service is planned for Sunday afternoon at 4 PM in the Deermeadows Baptist Church Chapel in Jacksonville. Contributions may be sent in lieu of flowers to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37918.
