Sims, Doshia Lindsey ?age 93, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a volunteer Pink Lady for Baptist Hospital for 23 years. Preceded in death by husband, Luna ?L.A.? Sims; parents, Hugh and Kate Lindsey; several brothers and sisters; sons-in-law, Gearl Wilson and Rick Riggio. She is survived by daughters, Evelyn Wilson of Maryville, Carolyn Riggio of San Jose, California; grandchildren, Rick and wife, Tracy Riggio of Lemoore, California, Kathy Jimenez of San Jose, California, Brian Wilson of Maryville, Dee Anne and husband, Donnie Stallions of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Tyler Riggio, Oscar Jimenez, and Will Stallions; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Marie Lindsey of Knoxville; and many nieces; nephews and friends who were very special to her. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 8 PM, Dr. George Hollander and Rev. Rex Eledge officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland South Cemetery on Saturday for 1 PM graveside services. Pallbearers will be nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 306 Ogle Street, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920.
