Ronald Charles Davis

Ronald Charles Davis, age 50 and formerly of Orlando, passed away peacefully at his home in Sevierville, Tennessee, Thursday, August 11th. Ron was a man of many talents, but above all, he was a devoted husband and father to his wife of 28 years Cindy and their three daughters, Shannon Waller (Andy), 27, Jessica, 18, and Laura, 15. Ron was a highly skilled craftsman and woodworker. He was an aircraft electrician in the U.S. Navy. For the past 11 years, Ron has worked at the Edgewater Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tennessee as Chief Engineer of Maintenance. Ron is survived by his parents Betty and Buddy Davis, of Mount Dora, Florida. He is also survived by sisters Linda Davis, of Orlando, Florida, Sharon Haight (Rick), of Kissimmee, Florida, and brother Bob Davis (Bonnie), of Winter Park, Florida. Ron’s family will be receiving family and friends Monday, August 15th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville, Tennessee. A celebration of Ron’s life is currently being planned and will be held in Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Ron’s family asks that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society earmarked for lung cancer research.
