Ruthie Jane Brown

Brown, Ruthie Jane ?age 90, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord at 2:45 AM on Monday, August 08, 2005. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was retired from Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. Preceded in death by husband, John A. Brown; brother, Cecil Scott; sister, Ethel Franklin and grandson, Darren Cagle. Mrs. Brown was one of five generations. The other generations include survivors, daughter, Wanda Wilkerson; son, William L. Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Billy Holbert; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Sarah Brown; daughter, Charlotte Cagle; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ray Vandaveer; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of those from Blount Hospice who helped us care for her. Family and friends will meet at Mt. Olive Cemetery on Thursday for 10 AM graveside services, Rev. Joe Chandler officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
