Edith McNutt Sharpe

Sharpe, Edith McNutt ?age 82, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2005 at NHC-Knoxville. She grew up in Island Home Baptist Church and was currently a member of the homebound ministry of Meridian Baptist Church. Edith was a graduate of Young High School ?Class of 1941? and she had perfect attendance all 12 years of schooling. She worked for Ft. Sanders Professional Building Coffee Shop for 25 years and served as a Senior Companion for over 10 years. Preceded in death by husband, Arden E. Sharpe; parents, Brab and Ella Baker McNutt; great-grandson, Kaleb Dockery. Survivors include: daughters, Sandy Dykes and husband, ER; Nancy Richards and husband, Chuck; Vickie Woods; grandchildren, Kenny Dockery, Clint Elmore, Nicole Young, Darren Dykes, Kevin Elmore, Ginny Hemphill, Aaron Richards; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jacob Dockery, Emily and Megan Bernin, Caylor and Allie Hemphill; brother-in-law, Rev. Wallace Newman; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 7:30 PM on Thursday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Family and friends will meet at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Friday for 11:30 AM interment services. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM on Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
