Ray R. Conner

Conner, Ray R., born January 23, 1921, went to be with the Lord April 23, 2005. He retired from APAC. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the European Theatre during World War II. He received the Silver and Bronze Medals of Honor, two Purple Hearts, Good Conduct and Marksmanship Medals. He was a longtime member of Stock Creek Baptist Church. Survived by wife of 57 years, Mildred; sons, Robert and James; brothers, Bill, Frank and Mack; sisters, Jennie Duncan, Mildred Clemmons and Carolyn Sexton; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service Monday, 8:00 PM, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Gene Wood officiating. Family and friends will meet at Edgewood Cemetery Tuesday at 11:00 AM for interment services. Family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
