R. Douglas “Big Daddy” Henry, age 54 of South Knoxville, a man rich in family and friends passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at home after a battle with Cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Winnie Henry. Survivors: Wife Vera Henry Sons and daughter-in-law: Major Douglas Henry and wife Patti of Germany, Brad Henry Daughter and son-in-law: Allison Davis and husband Jason Grandchildren: Gavin and Liam Henry, Katie Davis, Uncle: Paul Henry Brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne Henry and wife Judy, Fayne Henry and wife Peggy, Don Henry and wife Jean, Randy Henry and wife Brenda Sisters and brothers-in-law: Patsy Henry, Phyllis Henry, Deanna Gilland, Debra and Bruce Ward, Vivian and Arthur Webb Several Nieces and Nephews Honorary pallbearers: Darrell Mikels, Roy Mikels, Terry Carpenter, John Kreis, Tommy Thompson, Wayne Hood, and Scott Cobb. A heartfelt thanks on behalf of Doug’s family to the owners, family, and staff at Two J’s Pizza, Mr Bob-E-Que, Seymour Hardware, and countless friends. The family also wants to thank the congregations of Central Point, Tarklin Valley, Galilee, and Valley View Baptist Churches.
