Leon Russell Ford

Ford, Leon Russell, age 78, of South Knoxville, a beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away at home on April 15, 2005. He was a member of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church. Mr. Ford was a retired brick mason and veteran of W.W. II. He was preceded in death by wife Peggy W. Ford; daughter, Rebecca S. Vaughn; brothers, Carl and Howard Ford. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Rick and Becky Ford; daughter and son-in-law Angela and Dan Kelly; grandchildren Russ Smelcer and wife Darlene, Lauren and Preston Kelly, Ryan and Kara Ford; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Neal and Olen Ford; sisters, Louise Webb and Clara Robins; many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and neighbors. The family will receive friends 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Berry Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow at 7 p.m. Rev. Denny Ford officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 3:30 p.m. interment service. Pallbearers will be Olen , Jeff and Ryan Ford, Preston Kelly, Ed Robins, Bill Huff and Sonny Day.
