Sarah Henrietta Whaley Carr, age 80, of Pittman Center, passed away Monday, April 11, 2005. She was a member of Laurel Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Leola Whaley, brother, Bill Whaley, and son-in-law Luther Whaley. Survivors: Husband: Jess E. Carr Children: Mona and Ralph Maples, Stanley and Loretta Carr, Roma and Eddie Tinker, Larry and Brenda Carr, Brenda and Jack Laws, Dana and Susan Carr, Vickie King, Terry Whaley, Gary and Becky Carr, Jeffrey and Lara Carr 27 Grandchildren 20 Great-grandchildren Sisters: Lena Campbell, Geneva Litherland, Bonnie Justus Brothers: Gordon Whaley, Wallace Whaley Funeral service 7:30 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Carr, Rev. Lee Carr and Rev. Ben Whitted officiating. Interment 2 PM Thursday in Zion Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7:30 PM Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
