Aloysius Doherty

Aloysius “Paddy” Doherty, age 91 of Gatlinburg, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at his home. He served honorably with the Royal Air Force from 1938 – 1946 and was evacuated at Dunkirk. Mr. Doherty traveled the world extensively and retired from BBC Television. He will be best remembered by his many years as host at Sweet Fanny Adams Theater. Survivors: Wife of 63 years: Bertha Doherty Children: Pat MacPherson and husband Don MacPherson, Patrick Doherty Granddaughters: Jennifer Evans and husband Lawrence Evans, Kimberly MacPherson of CA Great-grandson: Maximillian Aloysius Evans Grandson: Christopher MacPherson Sister: Lucy Iles Brother: Terrence Doherty Paddy had a wonderful and joyous life and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. His life will be celebrated privately. As Paddy always said “Flowers are for the living, so give flowers to someone you love.”
