David Francisco Gilbert

Gilbert, David Francisco ?native South Knoxvillian, died on Monday, April 4, 2005 at age 71. Mr. Gilbert was the grandson of George Thomas Francisco, first Pastor of the Vestal Episcopal Methodist Church and Romulus Wesley Gilbert, a founding member. He was the son of the late Vernon C. ?Polly? Gilbert and Helen Francisco Gilbert; brother of Vernon ?Tommy? Gilbert, Richard ?Dick? Gilbert and Patsy Gilbert Graves. Until his retirement in 2000 to pursue golf, fishing and his grandsons, Mr. Gilbert was owner and operator of Gilbert Storage, Inc., a company founded by his father in 1957. Mr. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Marty S. Gilbert; daughters, Susan Gilbert and Lisa Weir; son, Michael Phillips and beloved grandsons, David Nicholas Weir and Austin Weir. The family will receive friends from 11 AM-1PM on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with a memorial service to immediately follow.
