Donald Thomas Baum, age 78, of Sevierville, died Thursday, September 30, 2004. He was a World War II veteran and served for many years in Haskins, OH, as a volunteer fireman in the Haskins Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gatlinburg. He was preceded in death by parents William and Bessie Baum, wife Betty Baum, sisters Mildred Monday and Nellie Walters, and brothers Daniel Baum and Richard Baum. Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia Crawford of Knoxville, Mary and John Fredritz of Carey, OH, Donna Brummett and Robert Bateson of Haines City, FL, and Pam and William Myers of McComb, OH 10 Grandchildren 6 Great-grandchildren Brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Charlene Baum of Vanlue, OH He was a special “Papaw” and friend to Amanda, Missy, Jeff, Gail, and Merita Funeral service 10 AM Saturday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel in Pigeon Forge with Pastor Arne Walker officiating. Entombment will follow in the garden mausoleum of Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, 220 Emert Street, Pigeon Forge, TN.
