Marie Johnson

Marie L. Johnson of Pittsgrove, New Jersey died Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Meadow View Care Facility in Williamstown, NJ. Born in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Flossie Copley Shelton. Although she just recently moved back to New Jersey, she had spent the past thirteen years in Sevierville. Upon moving to Tennessee she was an active member of Alder Branch Baptist Church and worked at K-mart. Prior to moving to Tennessee, she lived the majority of her life in Pittsgrove. Mrs. Johnson retired from Martex Packaging in Vineland, New Jersey, where she worked as a shipping supervisor. She was preceded in death by her husband Murphy Johnson, daughter Mary-Ann Moore and brother, Herbert Shelton. Survivors: Daughter: Susan Hayman of Pittsgrove, NJ Son: David Johnson of TN Brothers: Steven and Daniel Shelton of Pittsgrove, NJ Sisters: Evelyn Gabage and Phyliss Jones of TN; Helen DeAngelis of Vineland, NJ; Brenda Clouse of Pittsgrove,NJ; Jody Hannah and Ruth Place of VA; Vonita Clabough and Dot Hutton of CA Eight grandchildren Fifteen great-grandchildren Funeral service 11:30 AM Monday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home.
